"Of course we can" Byakuya smiled at her.


Sakura settled back down in her bed.

Ayame grabbed Sakuras hand gripping it as tight as she could with her weak grip 'thank you thank you' there were tears in her eyes

"Go on" Sakura smiled at her, "It was my pleasure"

Ayame smiled and moved back over to Byakuya 'one day.. i wont bug them more than that'

"Have fun" Sakura whispered closing her eyes she was really tired.

the months slipped by, Ayame had now been confined to bed, she could hardly even sit up these days, her heart beat was slow and she could barely see these days, she spent most of the day wasting her last days sleeping, it pained her chest to even speak

Sakura by that time had left the hospital with her family, she was much much better more than she had ever been in her life, she was currently in sixth with Renji and her children while he did the work Renji had taken over from Genrei.


Byakuya hardly ever slept, you could see it in his eyes he stayed by Ayames side the whole time he held her hand in his... he knew it was coming he could feel it but he just didnt want to believe it at all.

Ayame was breathing rather hard and jagged as though even breathing sapped the energy from her 'B-Bya-kuya... sama?'


Renji was at his desk writing out his work, keeping one eye on Sakura and his children, he was happy just being so close to them

"Yes my love" Byakuya replied softly looking at her with his tired eyes.




Sakura was curently chasing around the office after her two children which where crawling. It made her laugh though she knew that Taro and Keiko found it to be like a game.

'you.. havent.. slept have you' Ayame coughed slightly she was drained of all ut her last dregs of light 'for..give me'



Renji was chuckling at them he put down his pen to watch them

"Shh shh its fine" Byakuya smiled at her brushing a piece of her hair behind her ear.




"Ahh ah ahh dont pulling out the cushions.... ohhhh Taro dont draw on the walls... actually its pink never mind" Sakura chuckled as she chased after them.

Ayame couldnt smile, she knew that the hour of her demise was fast approaching 'im sorry.... i wasnt as good a wife as i could have been... im sorry, you gave me so much and i barely repaid your kindness' her voice was very weak



Renji just laughed 'ahhhh breath of fresh air sometimes'

"You did Ayame... you did" Byakuya replied softly, "You warmed my heart"




"Ahhh Keiko dont....." Sakura dived stopping the drapes from falling on her child, "Least i will never get fat with you two eh... have me running around" she chuckled.

Ayames lower lip trembled 'Bya-kuya-sama... im dying.. i can feel it, i .. dont have long left, let me say sorry for all the things i did do.. and sorry for all the things i didnt do'



Renji stood up 'would you like a hand my dear'

"No" Byakuya sighed, "Please do not as my last request"




"Yes pleae... go get Taro and sit him down for lunch" Sakura smiled picking up Keiko.

Ayame nodded very slowly 'as.. you wish.. Byakuya-sama' her hand was shaking with the effort of holding his, her grip was loosening by the second



Renji chuckled and picked up Taro 'cmon you'

Byakuya kept his grip firm on hers, "Know that i will always love you"




Sakura sat Keiko down, "Ohhh look what mummy has for both of you" she smiled.

'i.. always loved you.. still do.. i love you until my last breath... always for as long as this frail body holds on' Ayame whispered



Renji just moved Taro closer to Sakura

Byakuya moved and hugged her body close to him.




Sakura handing Renji a pit and spoon, "Would you mind feeding Taro" she smiled.

Ayame could barely hold onto him but she slowly ran her fingers through his hair with a shaky hand 'i .. always loved your hair'



Renji smiled and nodded 'sure i will, if Taros being good for daddy eh'

Byakuya smiled and held her close to him.




"Ohhh here comes the chooo chooo train" Sakura giggled as she fed Keiko.

Ayame tried so hard to keep her hand moving to comfort him as much as could but she was fading



Renji laughed 'we have airplanes.. trains are lame arent they Taro' he laughed as he started to feed Taro

Byakuya closed his eyes hoping she would not go.... she couldnt leave him.




Sakura looked at him raising her eyebrows, "Pfft Airplanes suck dont they Keiko.... ours goes choooo chooooooo" she smiled feeding her.

'Byakuya-sama.. i can barely see.... is the Sakura blooming?' Ayame whispered




Renji laughed 'yours cant do loops and dives' he smiled demonstrating with his spoon 'even roller coasters are better'

"Yeah... it is just for you" Byakuya replied softly though the tree had nothing on it.




Sakura chuckled, "Trains can get you places... its more important" she smiled feeding Keiko.
