Lucretia shook her head quickly 'i am no beauty, look in that room, youll see im a stone among diamonds'



'ahh but yours is the finest company' Halo smiled turning up the charm to a whole new level

"No matter how many glamorous people there are inside, you are the one that shines" Damien smiled.


"I think your mistaken" Pandora whispered as if something was affecting her only slightly.

Lucretia closed her eyes smiling slightly 'your lies are very beautiful, most inviting'


Halo smiled 'i am never mistaken my dear, i see no other girl i would rather give my affections'

"Ahh but i do not lie" Damien chuckled.



Pandora blushed slightly, "Ahh as nice as that sounds i must go find my father" she replied.

Lucretia smiled 'i hardly believe them though'



'ahh do not leave me hanging my dear, stay with me awhile' Halo smiled

"Ah well i tell you but the truth" Damien replied.




Pandora smiled, "I would spare a few minutes but i am expected by my father"

'and what is the truth young man?' Lucretia asked




Halo smiled 'spare with me any moment you can'

"That you are beautiful" Damien smiled.




"A bid you goodbye sir" Pandora smiled bowing before she moved off.

'ahhh a charmer is but a snake in the grass' Lucretia stated 'your tongue sings pleasant tales of grandeur'



Halo smiled watching her she would fall for him, she only made him more determined

"Ah that could mean in more ways than one" Damien smiled at her.




Pandora moved to her father it was late and she was tired, she tugged on her fathers sleeve.

Lucretia smiled 'as good a liar as any, nay, better than any i have heard'



Ethan smiled 'welcome back, have you had fun?'

Damien chuckled, "Ahh how smart you are, but not as smart to figure i am telling none but the truth"



"Can we go home?" Pandora asked softly you could see she was really tired.

Lucretia smiled 'if you are telling naught but the truth then that would mean you see me as a blushing bride and nothing less'


Ethan smiled and nodded 'let us go then my dear'

"And what if that where to be the case my dear" Damien smiled at her.



Pandora nodded following him, the party was ending soon anyways.

'then let it be known that i am wedded to my grave' Lucretia stated



Ethan led her out back to the carriage 'did you have fun'

"Oh how is that so?" Damien asked smiling more.




Pandora nodded, "I did, you?"

'no man will take me as a bride, so all i have left is my grave' Lucretia stated simply, her eyes wandering back over the balcony, not looking at the gardens so much as the drop




'it was pleasurable, even though we talk more of business than play' Ethan laughed opening the door for her

"But what if someone wanted to take you in marriage?" Damien asked.



Pandora smiled said her thanks to her father as she got inside, "Ahh you know how it is"

'then they dont have long' Lucretia whispered, not meaning to say that at all, it had slipped out




Ethan smiled 'tomorrow night we shall host our own'

Damien pressed her against the wall looking into her eyes, "Oh why so?" he whispered his lips near hers.




Pandora smiled "Ohhh really?"

Lucretia almost stopped breathing her back flat against the wall but her eyes were still expressionless 'i intend to die when the last petal of the rose falls from its wilting stem' her voice was strong even though she knew she shouldnt be saying this to a guest


'indeed, but for once, i will make it a Masquerade, no talk of business allowed' Ethan laughed

Damien chuckled pulling back, "Well then i shall make sure i see you before that happens, he bowed his head "Good evening" he stated kissing the back of her hand before leaving.



"Ohhh i like it" Pandora smiled.

Lucretia stayed where she was, her heart pounding in her chest, hammering, why had she said that


Ethan smiled 'i will prepare from morning, have the butlers write out invitations tonight and deliver them to each house by hand'

Damien moved with such speed he had found the rose and swapped it with a plastic one leaving a note behind,

After he wrote the note leaving a D on it so she would know who it was he moved out of there no one even noticing before he joined Halo.



Pandora smiled "I will practice my piano skills, i love playing for other people"

Lucretia moved up to go back to her room, still feeling rather excited, he had been so close to her


'you have a full day to do so, i will give the maid some money to take you to buy a most wonderful costume'



Halo sighed 'where the hell have you been'
