Angel Beats

So there was this afterlife that was granted to anyone who had an unfair life when they was alive, or they would come to this afterlife with unfinished business or problems.

This afterlife was created for the said person to live a happy and fulfilled life, until they graduate and once they graduated and followed the rules they would disappear back into the real life with another chance.

There where people who rebelled against 'god' and this so called afterlife and had the school council who would fight against them trying to put them back in line.

Everything had moved on though, Angel was not there enemy this time nor was the vice president who had called himself 'god' (He wasnt even vice president anymore) they where on the same side as battlefront fighting against the new enemy who was much more strict and uptight about the rules, and if you broke one you would know about it.

You cant die in this afterlife though you can feel its pain, if you did get hit where you should of died you would find yourself automatically back in the infirmary 'schools hospital' as another name. Each student has there own dorm the school was like a boarding, you live, work, eat and sleep there up until you graduate or accept your own death.

The originals members of battlefront where:

Yuzuru Otonashi: Due to his past, he has a caring personality and does not want anyone to experience pain or sadness. After dying, he lost his memories of the time when he was still alive, but later regains them. He had a younger sister, Hatsune, who died of an illness and who he cared for very much. When she died, he decided to go to school to become a doctor, but died before he could take the entrance exam to college. Initially unskilled in any equipment, he starts to practice his marksmanship, and pulls through for the team when they are in danger. He carries a Glock 17. His love to Kanade is expressed later on in the anime.

Yuri Nakamura: Yuri, also known as Yurippie, has a determined personality and invites Otonashi to join the SSS, an organization she founded and leads which fights against God. She is smart and decisive when making operations and decisions. She carries a silver Berreta 92. Not only is she skilled with a gun, but she is also capable in close range hand-to-hand combat. She vowed to fight against God after her three younger siblings were murdered when she was alive and never forgave herself for failing to prevent their deaths. She is an effective leader, but does not think so. She does not really notice that she actually cares a lot for the SSS members. She regrets even fighting with Kanade later in the story, because she feels she could have been great friends with her.

Angel/Kanade Tachibana: Angel is the student council president at the afterlife school. This places her at odds with the SSS as her responsibilities require her to suppress delinquency and other disruptive activities that the team does. The SSS initially calls her "Angel" since they do not know her real name, but they still refer to her by it even after finding out her real name to be Kanade Tachibana. It is difficult to understand what she is thinking due to her rarely showing any outward emotions. Despite her gentle demeanor and small frame, she is incredibly powerful and near indestructible to the point of ejecting bullets out of her wounds during battle. She is personally dedicated to helping others overcome their regrets and pass on. She has an affinity for eating mapo doufo, a spicy dish.

Hinata: Hinata is bright, dependable boy who is the closest to Otonashi. He always tries to save his friends if he can and is a reliable force in the team. He and Yui constantly irritate one another on a daily basis, but deep down, he cares for Yui, as shown when he helps her pass on. He is a talented baseball player. He nicknamed Yuri as Yurippe when they co-founded the SSS as he did not feel comfortable calling her Yuri, because his mother has the same name. His full name is Hideki Hinata.

Takamatsu:Takamatsu is an honor student who has a polite personality and wears glasses. He mainly contributes to the SSS through intelligence gathering and other affairs, but does not actively fight. Yuri herself says to not be fooled by his glasses and that he is actually an idiot. Though appearing to be slender, he works out and is actually well-built muscle-wise. After he first reveals this, he tends to take his shirt off, much to everyone's discomfort.

Noda: Noda is a self-reliant boy who executes the strategies formed by the SSS and fights with a halberd. He does not listen to anyone other than Yuri, for whom he has adoration, and is antagonistic to almost everyone else. He has a one-sided rivalry with Otonashi. He is a complete idiot whose weakness is education. He is not afraid to harm or kill anyone who gets in Yuri's way.

Shiina:Shiina is a female ninja who fights with dual-wielding kodachi and shuriken. She is able to sense when danger is coming and is a highly capable fighter. Despite her serious demeanor, she has a weakness for cute things like stuffed animals. She is strict in her training and is very self-critical when she fails, especially to a newcomer like Otonashi. She rarely speaks but will normally remark that those around her are "shallow-minded" whenever the obvious or something stupid is said.

Yusa:Yusa is an operator in the SSS who conveys the state of the battlefield to Yuri. She is a calm and gentle mannered girl with a straightforward character. Much like Angel, she does not express her emotions and is called scary by Otonashi and Hinata. She cannot calm down without her earphone. She rarely talks, and she sometimes hurts others' feelings even though she does not mean it.

Fujimaki:Fujimaki is a delinquent who fights with a long shirasaya. He picks on new people like Otonashi but does not seem like a bad person himself. He cannot swim.

TK: TK is a mysterious character who wears a large bandanna over his eyes and tends to break out in dance every so often. No one knows his real name or past. He speaks in semi-nonsensical English phrases depending on the situation, but apparently does not know English fluently. He saves the team many times and does know some Japanese but rarely speaks it, though he seems to understand what others say to him. He carries Browning HI-Power and LAR grizzly handguns or a PP- 19 Bizon submachine gun during missions.

Matsushita:Matsushita, also known as "Matsushita 5-dan", has a large build and is a master at judo. He never forgets a debt he owes, especially when it involves food (specifically gyudon). He carries heavy weapons such as rocket launchers or machine guns into battle. He later loses weight after training in the mountains.

Ōyama:Ōyama is an ordinary boy who has no special talents. He does not excel at anything, but is as capable as any normal person; in other words, he is a jack of all trades. He is a pure boy whose feelings will get hurt from things like a making fake confession or watching his teammates "die". He carries a Remington 700 sniper rifle or a P226 handgun.

Takeyama:Takeyama is an intelligent boy who is good at hacking computers. He wrote the "Briefing Manager" program that Yuri uses to brief the SSS prior to a mission. He insists everyone should call him by his username "Christ", though nobody cares about it. He tries to execute all plans as perfectly as possible. He does not engage in combat or any other physical operations.

Chaa: Chaa is the leader of the Guild. Despite looking much older, he is about the same age as Otonashi and the others.

Ayato Naoi: Naoi is a human originally thought to be a non-player character (non-human). After he died, Naoi developed hypnotic powers that allow him to control others and cause them to enter a dream-like state. He later befriends Otonashi after he acknowledges him and joins the SSS. As acting student council president for a time and self-proclaimed God, Naoi is strict and arrogant, but this is quick to disperse when Otonashi chastises him. He is affectionate to Otonashi, much to the latter's chagrin, and always tries to kiss up to him.

Girls Dead Monster


Iwasawa:Iwasawa is the initial leader of Girls Dead Monster who is in charge of the vocals and is the rhythm guitarist. She also writes the lyrics and composes the music for the band's songs. She plays a Sienna Sunburst/Maple Fender stracoaster guitar. While usually a quiet girl, she is able to fascinate listeners by striving to create music that speaks her thoughts. She used music as an escape from her constantly fighting parents in life. Her full name is Asami Iwasawa.

Hisako:Hisako is second-in-command of Girls Dead Monster who plays a Fender jazzmaster electric guitar as lead guitarist. She has a candid personality and likes to play mahjong, which she has incredible luck with. As noted by Hinata, Hisako is also athletic and is greatly admired by Yui for her guitar riffs.

Irie: Irie is the drummer of Girls Dead Monster who, despite being dead herself, is bad with hearing stories about ghosts or spirits, which Sekine likes to take advantage of. She is best friends with Sekine and joined Girls Dead Monster at the same time as her. Her full name is Miyuki Irie.

Sekine:Sekine plays a G&L- L2000 bass guitar in Girls Dead Monster. She likes to play pranks on those around her to see the surprised faces of her victims. She also likes to abruptly improvise during performances, which makes Hisako get mad at her. Her full name is Shiori Sekine.

Yui:Yui is a big fan and initially an assistant to Girls Dead Monster. She is known to be hyperactive and talks extremely fast. Hinata finds Yui annoying, which results in bouts between the two of them though in truth, they truly care about one another. She wears a devil tail and shackle bracelets on her wrists, giving her an image of an imp or devil. She also has wings hidden by her hair on her back. After Iwasawa's departure, Yui becomes the new rhythm guitarist and vocalist of Girls Dead Monster, as well as its leader. Yui plays a Gibson SG special electric guitar. She later becomes a part of the main SSS, following them along on missions.

Now all these people know of their past and Otanashi was trying to help each member pass on in the afterlife back to the real world for another chance but he had to soon stop as a new enemy stood in their way.

The new enemy consists of a gang of a squad called The Enforcement 'T.E' for short, the leader Daichi kyato was very powerful and came down on students hard if they broke the rules he had minions that helped who where also very strong and held power against others.

So now they had to fight against this new enemy whilst trying to move on themselves in their own time when they where ready.

Name: Daichi Kyato

Role: He is the new school president/ headteacher

Side/Team: The Enforcement

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Appearance: He is quite young but tall for being the headteacher, despite him looking weak he is actually really strong. Daichi is 6ft1 and has white spiky hair with bright blue eyes and wears glasses.

Personality:Daichi has quite a twisted mind and will use any means possible to get the students rebelling to follow the rules to move on. He has not been known to show sympathy to those who break the rules and he is a very serious man about his job.

Weapons/Skills: He can use any weapon but the one he carries on him is mainly a hand gun 1911. 45 ACP

Past: In his past he was a headteacher, he had no family and no friends so he always walked alone, Daichi died due to a student who wouldnt follow the rules and didnt listen on a school trip and as Daichi tried to save the student he got killed himself. No one knows his past but one can only think that he is how he is in the afterlife was due to his past.

Name: Masaru Nobu (His first name meaning victorious and last name meaning prolong, delay)

Role: He is the headteachers vice so to speak and works for him.

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has quite a toned chest but is hidden beneath his uniform, he is short black spiky hair that is always styled, he is fairly tall his height around 5ft7 and has quite tanned skin. Masarus eyes are a pale green making them almost look grey in some lights.

Personality: His name says it all, he likes to take his time in causing pain to others in making sure they watch the rules, he likes to win and be victorious in all he does and is a very bad loser. He has shown signs of wanting a relationship but hides it very well.... but when he sees this new girl that catches his eye he shows interest but the only problem is.... they didnt get to her first so she is not on their side of the fight.

Weapons/Skills: Unlike the others he has skills with a bow and arrow and fencing, he liked the english culture of weapons despite his personality and looks. Masaru can use a gun and has a special hand gun which he is known for using Smith & Wesson model 642 Revolver 38 special.

Past: Masarus past was different to others. He had a rich family and went to a private boys school. His grandfather lived in spain and constantly sent him money over. Masaru had a father who hardly payed attention to him as he had a high business and was all about that. His mother constantly smothered him and was always asking what he was doing. When he found out the girl he liked had killed herself he moved out to spain with his grandfather. Though in spain he caught an illness which unfortunately took his life.

Name: Sven Lune

Role: He is co manager with the Headteacher and the vice and works alongside them.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Sven is tall, taller than his sister as he stands around 5ft7. He has got a toned body but is hidden beneath his clothes, he has dark brown hair that looks black and his skin is rather pale, Sven also has the most unusual eye colour as its a light purple but despite his whole appearance he is rather strong.

Personality: Sven is very intelligent and has a witty mind, who sometimes can reply to things in a smart way and make the other talking to him feel inferior. Sven has a sense of mystery about him and does have a sense of humor though its more for the evil and at other peoples pain.

Weapons/Skills: Sven specializes in the martial arts but is also very good at handling a gun his gun is the SW 442 SHOOTING USA COMMEMROATVE 38SPL its slim and black to match his outfit

Past: Sven was forced to live with old relatives after his mother died, he has a sister who is 2 years younger than him and they both died the same day though different ways, Sven was neglected by his real father but was jealous of his sister getting the attention of her father though at a cost. Then one day after years of being neglected he snapped but he felt a wave load of guilt when he told his sister he wished she was never born and should disappear and later that day he found out she died not long after he spoke to her so he got himself wasted and got into a car and drove in the dark and he didnt see the corner to turn and ended up driving off a cliff to his death.

Name: Haru Lune (Her name meaning spring, as she was born in the spring)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance: She has pale skin like her brother and her hair colour is different as it is raven black reaching all the way down past her waist. Haru is fairly short reaching only about 4ft9. Harus eye colour from a glance looks black but when you see them closer or in a certain light you can clearly see they are a sparkling midnight blue.

Personality:Haru is the opposite to her brother, though she can have dark thoughts an evil plans but is a soft and gentle person really, she only choose to fight against god was for her unfortunate life and wants to try and stop it for other people. Haru does also have a sense of mystery around her just like her brother. Haru cannot be touched by any man, if she is she freaks out badly... the reason for this phobia was because of what her father did to her.

Weapons/Skills: Just like her brother she is experienced in martial arts, she is excellent with using hand to hand combat and has a perfect aim with a machine gun (which she likes to use) and her own hand gun which is the Taurus Judge 45/410 Tracker 3" Barrel Stainless Finish

Past: Haru was forced to live with her father after her mother died, her brother was forced to live with old relatives. Haru was abused by her father so much so it went as far as rape... Haru hated her life and could not stand it. Her Father would come up with the excuse of her having an illness and that was why she was always so jumpy and felt cold or shaking and it worked.

Role: works in the SSS, working with Yuri, to help with missions

Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: she has very long red hair, that reaches down to her waist, slivery eyes that hold a hint of pink and a pale skin tone ..... stands at 5'2'' and has a very gentle womanly figure.
Personality: she has a mysterious personality, she answers questions but doesnt really voice opinions about anything other than missions, she is very insecure about her looks and how she acts and is very careful about what she says incase it makes people not like her anymore though she still loves anime and manga, it helps her escape to the world
Weapons/Skills: she prefers using kodachi and shuriken to fight, but will use a gun if she has to, she specializes in the martial art, Ninjutsu. she carries two Kodachi with her at all times so she can dual weild.
Past: Katsumi killed herself in life, she hung herself after being a victim of extreme bullying, the bullies made fun of everything about her, her looks, her personality, as she had once been a bubbly girl with a passion for anime and manga, they drove all her friends away from her and even beat her

Role: spies on the SSS and relays information to T.E.

Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: he has short, slightly spiked, brown hair, pale green eyes that look grey in some lights. he stands at 5'9'' and has a slim but strong build
Personality: a loyal man, whom follows out his orders perfectly, he is calm and rational about everything and never loses his head in sticky situations.
Weapons/Skills: is fast, which helps him to spy, he also is good with electronics, as he uses alot of cameras and microphones. he uses a Jericho 941 F, 9 mm handgun
Past: he had a dysfunctional family, his father beat his mother and ended up going to prison, when he returned from prision, his wife had left him with the children, when he found them, he shot all of the family, killing Tadao and critically injuring the mother and his siblings, before the father shot himself

Haru sighed as she got herself ready for school being as silent as possible so she would not wake her father, shuddering at the thought if she did.




"Katsumi breakfast is on the table" Keiko called sighing as she glanced at her husband, things where not going well with there marriage but they hid it well as not to worry there daughter.

her father was still asleep from being drunk the night before



Katsumi was soon at the table she smiled 'thanks mam'

Haru slipped out of the house grabbing her cardigan and bag and off she went to school.




Keiko smiled, "No problem dear, now do you have any clubs tonight?"

Katsumi shook her head, she didnt have any friends

Haru walked through the park on the way to school she had time to kill, she moved sitting on the bench taking out her rather battered notebook she wrote in.




Keiko smiled, "Then i shall have dinner for when you get home, your father is working late tonight"

Katsumi nodded silently

Haru shivered slightly, her cardigan didnt exactly keep her warm.




"Go on now get off to school we dont want you to be late" Keiko smiled.

Katsumi nodded and picked up her bag as she left silently

Haru looked at the time and got up making her way to school, which seemed like the first time in weeks for her.

Katsumi dragged herself out of the house and made her way

Haru slowly made her way to school, walking inside the gates... her safe haven as she called it. Haru walked inside the school hugging herself slightly as she was cold.


"Ohhh look who it isss" A girl sneered as she pushed past Katsumi.

Katsumi just ignored it, her damn red hair had gained her so much attention

Haru walked inside and made her way to the classroom taking her usual seat silently shivering from the cold. Her seat was at the back and was usually empty.




"Red haired cow"

"Moooo"

"Argh why doesnt she just go die already"

Katsumi just closed her eyes for a second before she walked again to the classroom

Haru lent on her desk tired she didnt get much sleep even though she tried.



"Tch bitch"

"Ohh my brother said that he saw her in a strip club"

"Really i never knew she was such a slapper"

"Who knows what diseases she could have"

Katsumi swallowed and just moved on finally sitting at her desk

Haru could easily fall asleep right here but she knew she shouldnt, she was far behind enough as it is.



The other girls sat around Katsumis desk an easy target she was in the middle.

Katsumi just put her head down sighing

Haru shivered again she really was cold.



"Here.. pass it on" one of the girls said passing the drawing to another who giggled and passed it on the the boys.

"Red haired freak" one of the laughed as he screwed up the drawing and threw it at the back of Katsumis head.

Katsumi winced slightly but she dared not look up

the teacher walked in 'okay settle down class'

Haru didnt even look up she just stayed shivering at the back of the class leaning on her desk.


"Misss.... MISSSS Katsumi hit me" One of the girls called out.

'settle down!' the teacher sighed 'Katsumi ill speak with you later'

Katsumi just sighed softly

Haru closed her eyes just listening.



The girl smiled and sat back.

One girl pretended to drop a pen near Katsumi and picked it up elbowing her rather hard.
