Katsumi sighed softly 'i wonder if hes alright... i didnt think i would wake up... now i dont know where he is.. what hes doing'.


Tatsu was just making his escape

"Who?" Otonashi asked.



Haru closed her eyes... her dairy left open with the words I WAS WRON... written in her own blood... Those three words where her last thought before she went limp... the photo loosely in her hands. The immense amount of blood surrounding her body on the floor... she was now dead.

'the boy who gave me his towel when i saw alive' Katsumi whispered

"Ahh whats his name?" Otonashi smiled.

'Masaru-kun' Katsumi whispered

The day had gone by and it was soon night.

Otonashi was talking to Katsumi in the gardens.

Katsumi just sat not particularly looking at anything



the nurse was worried, there was no call from the house and Haru hadnt been to school she was outside the door now, knocking, hoping that Tatsu had just forgotten

"Its rather beautiful tonight" Otonashi smiled...
Not as beautiful as you though




There was no answer but the door opened slightly as Tatsu forgot to close it properly in his get away.

'its pretty' Katsumi agreed, her voice really quiet



the nurse opened the door slowly 'hello is there anyone in?'

Otonashi smiled "Ahh so many stars out



There was no answer... the house seemed rather cold and quiet.

Katsumi nodded 'its cold though.. i may go inside'


the nurse, against all her better judgement walked inside and started to climb the stairs 'Haru?'

Otonashi handed her his jacket, "Here" he smiled.




No one answered... Harus dead body layed in the middle of pool of blood... you could tell by the expression of her face she was scared and that she had died crying.

'ahh no its okay' Katsumi sighed 'youll get cold if i do that'



the nurse saw her and silently screamed, she couldnt make a sound, her first instinct was to call the police, which she did on her mobile, she couldnt move

"I wont" Otonashi smiled.



The photo in Harus hand fell through her fingers getting stained by the blood... the photo was of her mother and now blood washed over it slowly.

Katsumi didnt take his coat she just looked back out at the sky


the nurse covered her mouth with her hand looking down at the words on the book and photo, she ran down stairs to wait for the police

Otonashi sighed slightly and looked down.



The police had soon arrived... two men.

Katsumi spoke softly 'whats wrong?'


the nurse bit back a sob pointing upstairs

"Ah nothing" Otonashi smiled.



They moved upstairs looking at the scene... it was always a sad sight seeing a child dead One of them started to gather evidence as the other policeman took photos.

Katsumi shrugged crossing her arms now to keep herself a little warmer


the nurse couldnt bare to go upstairs, it was obvious it was murder not just from the book, she had been stabbed through the back, the knife was still there

"Its getting late" Otonashi replied.



The policeman moved downstairs with some of the evidence as the other carried on with cleaning up slightly.

The policeman that was downstairs held a book in his hand and a clear bag with the photo and the knife. He placed that down as he opened the book he was wearing clean gloves... he flicked through the pages and looked horrified and disgusted at the things in it.

'hey... i wonder, will he still see the same sky as me? or is it different' Katsumi asked she was talkative tonight




the nurse sat down watching she was still in shock

"Im not sure" Otonashi said... she was talking about him again.



The policeman sat down infront of the nurse the dairy in his hands, "I need to ask you some questions"

Katsumi sighed 'i hope its the same one'


'yeah' the nurse whispered keeping her eyes closed

Otonashi sighed... he liked her but she obviously liked someone else.




"Did... you notice any weird behavior in the girl... or the father?" He asked.

Katsumi played with her hair 'why did my hair come back?'




'the girl... i sent out social services.... they said it was fine' the nurse whispered
