The Kuchiki scandal

Isane jumped up and rushed inside nodding to Nanashi as thanks, "Yes"

Karui felt a slight relief as a barrier was put up.

Unohana was speaking fast explaining to Isane what was happening

Nanashi caught part of the conversation as she closed the door again, she felt she should send for Byakuya and she did just that, telling him it was about his sisters health, she said no more than that, it was up to him if he showed up or not

Isane nodded listening.

Karui looked down... what the hell was wrong with her... her body couldn't stand the spirit particles... who ever heard of that?.

Unohana sighed 'this place is not stable for her.... what should we do Isane?'


Nanashi just waited

"The only thing you can do is seal of her powers forever really... I'm sure its more to do with her own spiritual pressure than the particles around... why else would Kisuke give her a faux body?" Isane stated... "And with right treatment here we can keep her stabilized... she will still just be weak and feel some effects but not as worse... i assume"

Karui looked out of the window she wondered how Toushiro was feeling... sighing she looked back down.

'she'll lose all her powers' Unohana sighed 'can we really do that? shed be just like ... one of the Rukons townspeople... how do you feel about that Karui?'

Nanashi could hear though a crack in the door

Karui looked up, in all honesty she wasn't sure... "Would... would i loose my zanpacktou spirit?... forever?" she whispered. Not that she could do much with her shikia anyway... but she still conversed with her spirit.

Isane wasn't to sure if she would or wouldn't but in all honesty she thought she would.

Unohana sighed 'most likely... but if we dont do it, you could die'

Nanashi was half listening

Karui looked back down this was a hard decision, "What would happen with the punishment?" she asked.

Isane didn't know on that either.

'probably just prision' Unohana sighed

Nanashi opened the door 'under new circumstances SoiFon would have a new sentence i suspect without powers your sentence would be shorter'

Karui closed her eyes keeping back the tears.... loosing her zanpackto would be like loosing a part of her... again....

Isane looked at Unohana.

Unohana sighed 'its the best situation'

Nanashi returned to her post

"O-Okay" Karui whispered... she didn't look up nor open her eyes.

Isane looked at Unohana, "We shall have to inform others"

'Soifon, Byakuya and Genrei, send for them' Unohana stated

Nanashi stayed outside the room

Isane nodded and sent out hell butterflies.

Karui just stayed like she was.

SoiFon was there within seconds.

Soon after Byakuya turned up gathering it was important.

Ginrei was soon there too all of them in the room

Unohana sighed 'alright then, we've found out whats wrong with Karui, and we have a solution, but it will change things'



Nanashi made a point of staying outside the room, guarding it, she was here as a member of the punishment squad, and technically, Karui had nothing to do with her, she wasnt married, as Ginrei all too often reminded her

"You mean to tell me you have discovered on how to treat the illness?" Byakuya stated.

SoiFon just listened.

Karui didn't look up at Ginrei... she knew she would no doubt see disappointment in his eyes.

Unohana sighed 'the spirit particles affect her body, the only way to stop the degradation, is to nullify her powers... completely'

Ginrei closed his eyes 'if that will save her life, do it, at once, i want her to be alive, my granddaughter, i cant lose her'



Nanashi was listening through the door she sighed
family eh

Karui stayed in utter silence.

Byakuya sighed, "Does it matter or not... she will spend her life in a prison" he stated.

SoiFon nodded.

Ginrei sighed 'it matters, take her powers away, let her live without the constant struggle for the next day' it was clear he cared

Unohana nodded 'i shall see to it'


Nanashi closed her eyes keeping her guard though

"Is it what she really wants though" Byakuya stated something you would never usually hear from him "You should ask her what she wants not what you want" he sighed before he turned on his heel and left he couldn't take it. Deep down it did really hurt.

Karui stayed in silence... no it wasn't what she desired.

Ginrei looked at his granddaughter 'you want to live, right?'


Nanashi watched Byakuya she couldnt leave this spot she was working and she was loyal to her jobs

Karui wasn't to sure anymore... she had ruined everything and she knew she was a coward not able to face things she just stayed in silence.

SoiFon was still there.


Byakuya stood beside Nanashi in silence even if they didn't speak her presence was enough to calm him.

Ginrei sighed 'Karui? talk to me'

Unohana sighed 'cant we send her back to Kisuke, she was healthy there and if she has no powers she can live as a human'

Ginrei frowned 'no!'



Nanashi looked up at him slightly before returning her gaze to the hall

"She has committed a crime and must pay for it!" SoiFon stated firmly.

"Don't take them away" Karui whispered.

"Then its still life sentence... is it okay to take her away now?" SoiFon stated.


Byakuya stayed with her his hands sort out hers.
